System Administrator - Mac Expert
Location: Bangalore, India
We are seeking a highly skilled Mac Expert for a System Administrator / Helpdesk Technician role with at least 5 years of experience providing comprehensive support for Mac laptops. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in JAMF and Apple Business Manager, along with a solid understanding of software and hardware installation and configuration. This role will require professional experience with Windows, networking, and Microsoft 365, in addition to previous use of a ticketing system.
You will have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience providing technical support and administration for Macintosh systems in an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in JAMF and Apple Business Manager for Mac device management and deployment.
- 2+ years demonstrated experience administration and troubleshooting complex IT servers, applications, and services.
- Strong knowledge of software and hardware installation and configuration.
- Professional experience with Windows operating systems, networking protocols, and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI).
- Previous experience using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk) for IT support management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with users at all levels of the organization is a must.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Good for you to have:
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Proxmox).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
- Okta, JIRA, or telephony experience is a plus.
- Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or JAMF Certified Associate certification is a plus
Bird’s eye view of your role:
- Administer and provide technical support for all users and laptops with a focus on Mac. This will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, system configurations, and user account management. Most of this support will be for remote users.
- Administer and maintain JAMF and Apple Business Manager to ensure efficient deployment and management of Apple devices within the organization.
- Install, configure, and update software applications across Mac and Windows platforms.
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, including LAN, WAN, and wireless connectivity.
- Document and maintain system configurations, procedures, and user guides.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions and optimize system performance.
- Prioritize and manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.

This role will work in rotating shifts in a 24x7 environment and on-call work. The ideal candidate will be a Mac expert: somebody we can count on to provide input on best practices and give solid answers based on experience and research. This is a system administration / helpdesk role, where you will be part of a team with a variety of responsibilities, including the entire lifecycle of our company laptops, servers, in-house and cloud services, etc.
