Rendering Programmer Intern

Epic Games is on the lookout for dynamic interns to join our dev teams in 2024. Whether you work on Fortnite, Unreal Engine, or any of our other games, products, and services, you'll join a team that's pushing the limits of interactive entertainment.

What You'll Do

The rendering architecture team builds, maintains and improves the foundation of the whole rendering infrastructure. Being the glue between rendering features and the hardware, our mission is to provide a solid and reliable framework for game makers to build upon.

We are looking for a passionate graphics engineer with knowledge in artificial intelligence and machine learning that complements our Neural Network Engine team. You will work on cutting edge technologies to bring deep learning to graphics applications inside a world class game engine.

In this role, you will

  • Apply deep learning skills to solve computer graphics problems.
  • Work inside the Unreal Engine to establish work- and dataflows.
  • Look into state of the art technologies and how to bring them into the engine.
  • Work on infrastructure to improve graphics features and enable new ones.
  • Collaborate with a team of top neural network and graphics engineers.

What we're looking for

  • A master degree in computer graphics or similar.
  • Strong C++ skills and programming principles knowledge.
  • Experience with building and training neural networks.
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine and its render pipeline.
  • Self-motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently.
  • Enthusiasm about deep learning in computer graphics.
