About Rappi's Communications Team

Rappi’s Communications team is trusted to craft and tell the story of one of Latin America’s most ambitious technology companies. As the region’s leading super app, Rappi is transforming how millions of people live and work—and our communications span PR and media relations, executive communications, community building, and other high-impact external-facing initiatives.

We are seeking an exceptional communicator to help shape and lead Rappi’s integrated communications strategy across Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. This role will drive laser-focused, compelling, data-informed, and purpose-led storytelling—working in close partnership with the regional Communications team and collaborating daily with local leaders across policy, legal, product, and operations to deliver clear, consistent communications at speed.

As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for:

You will own how we tell the story of Latin America’s leading super app—from corporate reputation and crisis preparedness to brand and product earned media programs across all business verticals in Colombia, Peru, and other Andean markets. You’ll help scale and protect Rappi’s narrative across four core pillars: innovation, value, impact, and growth.


This is a senior strategist–operator role. You think long-term, independently, and at a systems level—while still rolling up your sleeves to lead high-touch, day-to-day media relations for a complex, fast-moving, and disruptive business. The ideal candidate brings deep corporate, product, and consumer communications experience, paired with strong technical fluency and an intuitive understanding of how Rappi’s key audiences—consumers, partners, and policymakers—engage with our ecosystem every day.


We’re looking for a high-energy, prolific operator who thrives in ambiguity and moves comfortably between strategy and execution. This role reports to the Head of Global Communications and is based in Bogotá, Colombia.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute communications strategies that educate press, consumers, policymakers, and the broader public on Rappi’s mission, technology, impact, and growth as a leading super app.

  • Design and execute stellar earned media programs that help build up our reputation in Colombia as a benchmark for innovation, value, and impact in the delivery and on-demand space.

  • Build, manage, and deepen trusted relationships with top-tier media, while owning inbound press engagement across a wide range of issues.

  • Serve as a calm, credible, and strategic partner to market leadership on brand perception, reputation risk, and positioning in sensitive and fast-moving moments.

  • Lead and manage local agency partners, setting strategic direction and ensuring exceptional execution across proactive communications and crisis response.

  • Prepare high-quality communications materials—including statements, FAQs, press releases, backgrounders, and interview briefs—that make complex topics clear, accurate, and credible.

  • Drive local narrative development, drafting and localizing shared messaging frameworks while maintaining consistency, quality, and relevance.

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

  • Have 10+ years of experience across corporate, product, and consumer communications, either in a high-growth technology company or a top-tier communications agency.

  • Bring deep familiarity with cutting-edge consumer technology and disruptive business models.

  • Have a strong track record of building and executing high-impact, agile PR programs in Colombia and Peru.

  • Partner naturally and effectively with operations, policy, and legal teams.

  • Demonstrate sharp strategic thinking, with the ability to connect communications efforts directly to business outcomes.

  • Have led crisis communications and reputation management in complex environments that require speed, judgment, and adaptability.

  • Operate with confidence and clarity in high-stakes, highly visible situations.

  • Are equally comfortable shaping long-range narratives and executing precise, milestone-driven communications.

  • Are data-driven, impact-oriented, and accountable.

  • Bring strong judgment, composure, and ownership to sensitive moments.

  • Are energized by helping press and stakeholders understand the real-world value of innovative technology at scale.
