About the role
This is a 12-week paid hybrid internship. The intern must be present in the office for three days a week. Salary will be based on prior work and educational experience. The ideal candidate must be available to work 8-hour shifts/5 days a week, ideally in the summer timeframe. The candidate will be working on a variety of projects with the Marketing team.


  • Drive social media strategy, management, and brand voice across Ushur’s owned social channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and the Ushur blog
  • Partner cross-functionally to create a consistent narrative across all owned channels that includes original and curated content, aligns to marketing campaigns, as well as Ushur’s key messages, announcements, events, and milestones
  • Own elements such as channel intentions and voice, social media content calendar, and publishing cadence
  • Partner with Lead Graphic Designer to adhere to visual brand guidelines and create an innovative look and feel leveraging animation and video content
  • Grow Ushur’s social media advocacy program among employees
  • Actively monitor Ushur’s social community, competitors, ecosystem, and other relevant conversations, pulling out trends, and proactively making recommendations in areas where the company should respond to support the company's ongoing engagement and authentic online presence
  • Track social media KPIs and measurement, including (but not limited to) audience growth and engagement, web traffic, conversion, customer engagement, and leads
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative measures, as well as lessons learned, to summarize and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns


  • 1+ years of experience in social media, audience engagement, content marketing, editorial, demand generation and/or corporate communications (preferably in enterprise software)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including demonstrated content development for web or social media (samples upon request)
  • Expertise with major social media platforms and forums such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, and blogs, as well as an understanding of optimization strategies
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (examples include: Hubspot, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • An understanding of the role of social media in demand generation activities, including a working knowledge of social media SEO strategies
  • Interest in supporting a fast-paced content "newsroom" environment, including content creation, curation and distribution
  • Are highly analytical and enjoy working with data
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, internet marketing or related field
  • A desire to work in a high-growth startup atmosphere
